Deeply passionate about the rights of the unborn, Monica Flynn has been actively involved in the Pro-Life movement for 20 years. Founder and CEO of Mommies Matter, Monica’s determination to do more in helping women choose life for their unborn stemmed from her 15+ years of work as a hotline consultant for a pregnancy health center. Monica graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Mechanical Engineering. She served our country as a United States Air Force officer stationed at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Monica is a worthy recipient of the 2019 Mother Teresa Award of Charity, Compassion, and Service, sponsored by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. Monica is fluent in American Sign Language. Monica and her husband Kevin have been blessed with a 31-year marriage, five children, three grandchildren with another on the way. They currently reside in Galena, OH, after enjoying 20 years in Westerville as parishioners at St. Paul, and are now active parishioners at St John Neumann in Sunbury.
Gina McCauley was born and raised in Cleveland, Ohio. She married her husband, Brian, in 2014 and moved to Lancaster, Ohio where, as foster parents, they welcome children into their home and hearts. Gina has worked in various dimensions of the pro-life movement since 2014, and her real passion is helping to preserve the dignity of the family. Gina has been with Mommies Matter since its inception.
Kristin Garrabrant serves as the Family Advocate for Mommies Matter. She assists our single mothers with establishing goals to break down the barriers that are preventing them from becoming the mothers they desire to be. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Child Development and Family Relations and Master’s Degree in Special Education. Her family, Catholic faith, and Catholic education are her passions and driving forces in life! Kristin and her husband, Jamie, together have four children and one grandchild. In Lancaster, her family belongs to St. Mary of the Assumption Church and she serves as the Pro-Life Moderator at Fisher Catholic High School. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, camping, hiking, and reading.
December Summersett works full-time as a Benefits Coordinator at one of the largest public pension funds in the country. During her free time she volunteers on the Mommies Matter staff. December has a passion to serve single mothers and give back because she was a single mother at one time and understands the issues and obstacles single moms face everyday. December is married to her wonderfully supportive husband David and they share four beautiful children, three sons and one daughter. December holds a BS in Public Relations from Franklin University.
