Deeply passionate about single mothers and their children, Monica Flynn has been actively involved in the Pro-Life movement for 25 years. Founder and CEO of Mommies Matter, Monica’s determination to do more for women who choose life stemmed from her 15+ years of volunteer work as a hotline consultant for a pregnancy health center. Monica graduated from the University of Notre Dame with a major in Mechanical Engineering. She served our country as a United States Air Force officer stationed at the Pentagon in Washington D.C. Monica was a worthy recipient of the 2019 Mother Teresa Award of Charity, Compassion, and Service, sponsored by the Diocesan Council of Catholic Women. Monica is fluent in American Sign Language. Monica and her husband Kevin have been blessed with a 36-year marriage, five children and ten grandchildren. They currently reside in Galena, OH, after enjoying 20 years in Westerville as parishioners at St. Paul, and are now active parishioners at St John Neumann in Sunbury. 

Daphne’s passion for service and the Pro-Life movement has motivated her to be an Ally since the inception of Mommies Matter in 2018. She earned a degree in pharmacy from The Ohio State University as well as a degree in chemistry from Miami University. Daphne, her husband, and their 3 adult children travel to Chiapas, Mexico during the summers to participate in medical mission trips to provide eye care to the local residents. She currently lives in Westerville and has been a parishioner at St. Paul the Apostle Church since 2002.

Lauren was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have three children. Using her degree in Early Childhood Education from Mount Vernon Nazarene, Lauren teaches in a preschool classroom.  She joined Mommies Matter as an Ally in 2021 and is excited for this opportunity to work more closely with single mothers who have chosen life by being there for them emotional and physically. Lauren enjoys reading, going to the beach, gardening and being with family. 

 Kelly began volunteering with Mommies Matter in 2019 and is excited to be a part of such an important organization.  Kelly currently lives in Galena and attends St. John Neumann Catholic Church in Sunbury, OH.  She is married to her husband, Keith, and they have three children and numerous pets.  Kelly attended Miami University and graduated with degrees in both International Studies and German.  She enjoys spending time with her family and also loves outdoor activities including hiking, biking, and kayaking. 

 Kendra grew up in Loveland Ohio and moved to Columbus to attend Ohio State University where she earned her BSN. She is married to her high school sweetheart and together they have 4 children. They currently reside in Dublin Ohio and attend St. Mary in Delaware. In her free time she enjoys reading, traveling, spending  time with family and friends, and growing faith life. She is looking forward to embracing and walking with the single mothers in our community.

 Brandy is originally from West Portsmouth, OH.  She and her husband, Jeremy, relocated to the Columbus area in 2000.  They now reside in Lancaster with their 2 children.  Brandy has an accounting degree from Ohio Northern University.  While initially coming to Mommies Matter to serve as an Ally, she is also excited to help the team with her skills as an accountant.  Brandy brings experience as a controller in both for profit and not for profit industries.  She also brings a passion for helping others.  Since 2014, Brandy has served as a board member in various capacities for New Horizons Mental Health Services.  Brandy also has a passion for strengthening families with a focus on improving relationships.  

Kevin practices at Reminger Co. LPA's Columbus Office, co-chairing the Trucking and Commercial Transportation practice group. His focus areas include trucking liability, premises liability, real estate, construction, and general insurance. Kevin lectures on litigation and catastrophic loss management, serves as an Adjunct Professor at Capital University Law School, and has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America and Martindale Hubbell.

Meredith received her Master’s Degree in Counseling from the University of Illinois in 2003, and is currently a Nationally Board Certified Counselor and Nationally Board Certified Coach. With experience working with survivors of trauma, Meredith is skilled in empathizing and understanding one’s past and utilizing it as a frame of reference for moving forward. She is committed to fostering a healthy, thriving, meaningful life. Meredith has been married for 20 years to her high school sweetheart and has two beautiful children. She loves spending time with them as a family, loves Jesus, prefers warm sunny weather, and loves finding joy and laughter in the everyday. 

 Lily is a retired professional with a diverse career spanning over five decades. She graduated from college with a degree in Comparative Literature, which laid the foundation for her analytical and communication skills. Lily spent 20 years in the financial sector, where she gained extensive experience in banking, mortgage origination, business banking, and investment banking. She then transitioned to real estate management, dedicating over 30 years to this field.

Now retired, Lily remains active in her community by volunteering at St. Charles Preparatory School. Her rich professional background and commitment to service demonstrate a lifelong dedication to learning and giving back.
